Apparently the way Mylo pees is strange (standing on the toilet pan if there is no potty around) Quote from his playgroup teacher: “It’s a new one on us” .. lucky they’ve not had to deal with him standing to poo!
Uncle James and Auntie Trina came to visit this weekend
James and Mylo had some fun building a new train track. They were at it quite a while…. especially as Mylo demands lots of hills and it is very complicated to get it all to fit together.
Today Mylo has been saying “James likes Molly” (the Molly train from Thomas) and “Maybe James come to the house and play trains?” and “James here soon?”
I told Mylo that Uncle James and Auntie Trina had gone home on a train so that seemed to please him.. for a bit!
Edit: When trying to hurry Mylo to get ready after his bath .. I use the “hurry up and get all ready for Daddy coming home” line.. tonight he replied with “and James ?”
Is 3pm and Mylo is still not out his cot… he has taken to refusing to get out his cot on a Friday for some reason.. did the same last week too.. must be too tired after a hard week. Or maybes the swimming is just too much for him on a Friday morning as it doesn’t start until 11 which is normally nap time… oh well he is happy as he has his basket of cars, Garage, DJ Puppy Dog, Moosical Beads and a wee garage… this is almost a ritual.. everything has to be set up in the exact same spot every morning and afternoon when he wakes….
I keep shouting “are you ready to get up yet?” and he keeps shouting back “No, I’m not getting up yet Mummy!… not ready… ok!”
Day 2 of Playgroup is over and all going really well. No tears at all and Dry Pants… woo hoo! I get a kiss and a “see you later Mummy” and that’s it.. not even a backward glance from him…
There is plenty to do by the looks of it. Gluing (Mylo’s favourite by far) Books, Trains, Cars, Home Corner, Jigsaws and a nice big garden with lots of toys in it. Need to be brutal with the chucking out of “pictures” as he came home with 4 the first day.. so can see that turning into a paper mountain! He is so exhausted when he gets in he can hardly speak… suppose he will get used to the later nap.
So all in all the new routine is going well so far….fingers crossed it continues to go smoothly!
“I’ll do big poo poo on Daddy’s face!”
