Mylo is…

Day 2 of Playgroup is over and all going really well. No tears at all and Dry Pants… woo hoo! I get a kiss and a “see you later Mummy” and that’s it.. not even a backward glance from him…

There is plenty to do by the looks of it. Gluing (Mylo’s favourite by far) Books, Trains, Cars, Home Corner, Jigsaws and a nice big garden with lots of toys in it. Need to be brutal with the chucking out of “pictures” as he came home with 4 the first day.. so can see that turning into a paper mountain! He is so exhausted when he gets in he can hardly speak… suppose he will get used to the later nap.

So all in all the new routine is going well so far….fingers crossed it continues to go smoothly!

Day 12: things going pretty well. Only using 1 nappy a day now. 1 for nap (which is dry when he wakes) and reuse that one for night.

Had a few accidents when out but not that many.. so in the scheme of things we are doing ok. The worst is when he does have an accident and I try to sneak out of (for eg library or shop as inconspicuously as possible) but he shouts “oh dear.. I’m wet… wet Mummy wet… all wet!”

Day 5 of Potty Training and we are getting there.. We had 2 accidents yesterday..1 at park and 1 on the floor at home .. but he is getting the hang of it.. He pees standing up which I think is funny I always thought he would just sit down.. but nope… he needs to work a bit on his aim though!!

We have managed journeys in the car and buggy with dry spiderman pants… think the longest he has gone is about 2 hours 40minutes… Bribery worked a treat to start with… choc buttons a go go.. now he not bothered about getting the buttons.. the stickers are way more important as “show Daddy pee pee stickers” is high priority

Any tips on the number 2s? As they are still going on the floor.. he gets himself all worked up… the other day Alex stood on one which I found thoroughly amusing!!!

Tomorrow he goes to Granny’s for the day.. I think she must be advised to roll up her brand spanking new rug!
